| | Nigel Carden (NJC) Nigel has overall responsibility for the Club's Ship Inspection programme and leads the management committee on membership quality which draws together key individuals from the underwriting, claims, and ship inspection departments. He combines this role with that of Claims Policy Director. |

| | Karl Lumbers (KSL) Karl is a Master Mariner with some thirty years experience in the marine industry, who joined Thomas Miller in 1986 from a leading firm of marine consultants in London. He spent several years claims handling in the syndicates, after which he helped set up the Club's Loss Prevention Department which he now manages. |

| | William Mather (WM) Bill Mather, a master mariner, joined Thomas Miller in 2002 from a major shipping company where he was a marine superintendent. He is responsible to Karl Lumbers for coordinating the Club's condition survey programme. |

| | Les Hesketh (LH) Les joined Thomas Miller in February 2001 from the P&O group where he was a marine superintendent. Prior to that he was master for 12 years, and has extensive experience in a wide range of ships including reefers, general cargo, chemical, LPG tankers, OBOs, dry bulk carriers and container ships. As a marine lead auditor he was part of a team responsible for introducing audit and safety training across the P&O Bulk fleet. He is a Fellow of the Nautical Institute and contributed to their publications Bulk Carrier Practice and Watchkeeping in Port. |

| | Chris Roberts (CR) Chris joined Thomas Miller in March 2001, having served at sea for 30 years in all types of tankers. He was trained in Shell Tankers and sailed with Shell until 1977 as Second Officer, before joining Silver Line to sail in chemical tankers and LPG vessels. From 1983 until December 2000 he served as master for V Ships in LPG and product carriers. |

| | Tony Watson (TW) Tony is a graduate marine engineer who joined Thomas Miller in 2004. He sailed on tankers and bulk carriers for twelve years, rising to the rank of chief engineer. He then spent seven years as superintendent for reefer vessels and three years with a leading marine consultancy company. Tony lives in Bordeaux, France. |

| | David Wright (DW) David Wright served with a Glasgow-based ship management company for 22 years from cadet to captain in command and latterly as a marine superintendent, before branching out as an independent Safety Inspector and Superintendent, specialising in tanker operations, FPSO's and training of ships' officers in tanker and safety courses.
He joined Thomas Miller P&I at the inception of the ship inspection programme, leaving for a period of two years to become the General Manager and Operations Director of a small ship management company specialising in Ro-Ro operations. He rejoined the inspection team in 1994.
He is a Member of the Nautical Institute, holds a Diploma with distinction in Ship Management, is a qualified Lead Assessor for ISO 9000 and a qualified Lead Auditor for the ISM Code. |
