The UK
P&I Club is sponsoring safety messages that are e-mailed to
seafarers onboard more than 3000 ships every day.
NewsLink - the daily newspaper is sent by e-mail to
the crews of over 3000 ships. The newspapers are in English,
but contain news from the homes of seafarers from more than 30
different countries including the principal crew supply nations -
Bangladesh, China, Croatia, Germany, Greece, India, Indonesia,
Japan, Latvia, Myanmar, Pakistan, the Philippines, Russia, Sri
Lanka, the UK and the Ukraine.
The daily four-page news is sent as a compressed file of around 10KB and takes about 10 seconds to download.
News editions from over 30 countries worldwide, including the US & the UK are produced daily and sent to seafarers out at
sea. The newspapers have a page each of international news, national news, regional news (covering news from
various regions of the country on different days) and sports news. In addition, each news edition carries a section on Maritime safety
(sponsored by the UK Club and others).
The Infotainment Magazine CD

magazine complements the seafarer's leisure time
